Samsung’s mid-segment model Galaxy A56 appeared in the Geekbench benchmark test. The test results revealed that the phone will be powered by Samsung’s mid-segment chipset Exynos 1580.
Earlier leaks had suggested that the Galaxy A56 would use the Exynos 1580, and the Geekbench listing solidified this claim. The smartphone scored 1341 single-core and 3836 multi-core points in the benchmark test.
These scores are close to the Geekbench performance of Snapdragon 888, Qualcomm’s flagship processor announced in 2021. This shows that Samsung’s mid-range models will become even more powerful with the Exynos 1580.
Developed for the Galaxy A56, the Exynos 1580 uses the codename “Santa” and has an octa-core CPU configuration. It should be underlined that there is not much information about the features of the chip for now.
The Galaxy A56 model number seen on Geekbench is SM-A566B. The letter “B” indicates a version designed for the global market.
If we look at the other features, Samsung Galaxy A56 will host a 6.6-inch Full HD + Super AMOLED display with 1000 nits brightness. In addition, the device will be introduced with a 50 megapixel + 12 megapixel + 5 megapixel camera system and may come with a 32 megapixel selfie camera.
